Bonnie’s Blog Week 10

July 14th, 2020

I imagine that by now you have felt that the U.S.A. has lost it’s mind. We certainly are not putting our best foot forward, that’s for sure. There are so many people feeling frustrated and are using this time to vent their feelings. My family and myself are pretty much staying home and being cautious with the pandemic circling the globe.

As I have mentioned in previous blogs, we have had this time to truly focus on our own lives and what we want to improve. This may be the best way to spend your time now. How often do we have so much quiet time to ourselves to reflect on our goals? It’s almost humorous. During our normal work schedules, we many times have felt over worked and tired, ultimately wishing for peace and quiet. Well, now we have it and, as with any situation, it matters what you do with it. You can stay home and feel badly that we do not have all of our normal activities at our disposal… or we stay home and become ridiculously lazy, doing nothing… or we can be brilliant by using this time to fulfill our goals, whatever they may be.

In Team Bond, most of us are reaching to achieve continuous growth for our future. Something that can add tremendously to that effort is to listen to positive thinking podcasts, CDs, and/or reading success books. It is so important that we fill our minds with what we want to achieve.

You have probably heard the people say:

“You are what you think.”

I wonder if you have ever given that much thought. It may also surprise you that your own subconscious brain knows your thoughts and will actively go to work to help you accomplish what you seem to want. When I first learned of this concept, I was happily amazed. I had read and heard that if you fill your mind with positive things, your life will turn positive, and likewise for other subjects. I actually tried it out and it became accurate for me (which you can do too). I encourage you to continuously look at your goals and dreams to remind yourself of your purpose. Many people create a dream board, putting pictures of all of their goals on it. They then place it in a location where you will see it daily. This is one form of feeding your brain with positive thinking.

It is so important that you keep a good attitude. We never want to wait for others to create our opportunities, but instead create our own. Remember: if it’s to be, it’s up to me. So, you go out there and create the world you want to live in. Create your own environment. And do not judge your success by what you have… but by what you have overcome. We all have challenges but by facing them we not only overcome them, we grow from them and become better. I have trained my team for 20 years, telling them: you will become more than when you started. Looking back now over the last 20 years, I can almost see all of our team members who have become more. I am so proud of all of you! The road is not easy, but it can be a lot of fun! We all have to go out on a limb and take risks. But they are so worth it! I will tell you a quote from Theodore Roosevelt:

“It is hard to fail, but it is worse to never to have tried to succeed.”

The purpose of life is… living a life of purpose! You want to know that purpose and strive for it with all you have. Be passionate about what you want and literally go for it! You will have challenges along the way, but each challenge will create knowledge and growth within you.

Do you know the secret to getting ahead in your life? You are going to laugh. The secret is GETTING STARTED! Wherever you are in your life now, have you truly committed to the success you want? You can start today and make this the first day of your passionate journey and get started!

The best thing about your future is that it comes one day at a time. And I wish you many successful and happy days! Stay safe!

I love you,

Bonnie
